Tiles can be absolutely flat, relief, and anything in-between. Students will have the option of creating images; patterns in relief in plasticine first, and then having it cast in plaster for press-molding multiple editions. Various clays will be used strategically for their unique properties from stoneware to porcelain. Emphasis will be on a slow careful development of individuals tiles as individual works of art.
